A truck pulling a large camper was destroyed by fire this week near Church View, reported the Upper Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department (UMVFD) located in Water View.
Firefighters from three departments were dispatched to the vehicle fire about 9:30 a.m. on Monday. Some firefighters left work to respond to the emergency.
The Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department was first on scene and the UMVFD arrived right after them. Since the fire occurred during work hours, there was limited manpower, so UMVFD was called out.
The Hartfield Volunteer Fire Department was called out but was then told to stand down and returned to its firehouse. By the time firefighters arrived, the Ford truck was ablaze…
