Only one person spoke at a Middlesex County Board of Supervisors (MCBS) public hearing on a proposed 2026-2027, $37,345,788, county budget. The budget supports a 2 percent raise for all county employees, including MCPS employees. The Thursday, May 21, hearing was at the Middlesex County Historic Courthouse in Saluda.
Tiffany Robins read a statement from the school system to the board. “First I would like to thank the Middlesex County Board of Supervisors for your continued partnership and support of the MCPS. The strength of any community is directly tied to the quality of the schools and we deeply appreciate your recognition of the importance of investing in our students, education and future workforce.”
