MHS baseball team explodes for five runs in one inning

8-0 victory over Essex

The Middlesex High School (MHS) Charger baseball team (1-3, 0-0) split last week beating the Essex Trojans in an 8-0 shutout and losing to the Rappahannock Raiders of Warsaw, 11-3.

Against Essex, the Chargers exploded in the sixth inning scoring five runs. MHS also scored three runs in the fourth inning. Middlesex was paced by the consistent hitting of Thomas Foster who went 3-4 at the plate and  had three singles.

Middlesex will take a pause over spring break and will come back on April 7 to take on Colonial Beach and Lancaster on April 8…
