
The annual Urbanna Memorial Day service will be conducted at the historic Lansdowne estate at 271 Virginia St. in downtown Urbanna. It is set for 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 25.
The service is usually at the Urbanna Town Marina, but due to the bridge entering the marina being closed to automobile traffic, Lansdowne owner Arthur Broaddus “A.B.” Gravatt III has “graciously” allowed the event to be conducted on the grounds of Lansdowne.
The keynote speaker this year is Rob Fitch, a retired citizen-soldier who completed 30 years of U.S. Army active, reserve and Virginia National Guard duty…
