Court asked to direct supervisors to fund position to help with body cams

Middlesex County Commonwealth’s Attorney Michael Hurd filed a lawsuit asking the court to direct the Middlesex Board of Supervisors to fund a full-time assistant commonwealth’s attorney, which he has said is needed due to increased workload required, due to the Middlesex Sheriff’s Office using body-worn cameras, “or order the discontinuance of usage of the body-worn cameras.”

Hurd’s lawsuit was filed July 29 in Middlesex Circuit Court.
