A public hearing will be scheduled after the first of the year for citizens to comment on VDOT’s plan to build a roundabout at the intersection of Twiggs Ferry Road (Route 3) and Stampers Bay Road (Route 630), which is the short-cut road to Deltaville.

Saluda Residency Administrator Lee McKnight reported to the supervisors on Tuesday, Dec. 2, that a proposed $6.95 million roundabout will be fully funded through Virginia’s Smart Scale transportation funding, through which the County of Middlesex applied for the funding of the Stampers Bay road project.

The actual date of the public hearing has not been scheduled, but it will be conducted near the site of the proposed roundabout for convenience to citizens who are most impacted by the project, said McKnight.
