Middlesex tennis team wins first place regional quarterfinal

Middlesex High School’s (MHS) girls tennis team won its May 21 regional quarterfinal match, defeating West Point 9-0 at MHS. It was this season’s third meeting with the Pointer girls.

The Charger girls advanced to play Rappahannock of Warsaw in the regional semifinal, which is set for 10 a.m. today, Thursday, May 28, on Rappahannock Community College’s Warsaw campus. Results were unavailable at press time.

The regional singles and doubles tournaments are scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday and Tuesday, June 1 and 2, at Mathews High School.
