MHS girls and boys are the best in district at May 21 KW meet
Boys Track
The Middlesex High School (MHS) boys track team won the Tidewater District track and field championship last week at King William High School for the fourth season in a row.
Middlesex won the meet with 181 points, outscoring the highly competitive King Willam Cavaliers that scored 164 points. West Point was third, 46 points; Mathews, fourth, 44; King & Queen Central, fifth, 37 points; and Charles City, sixth, 1 point.
Girls Track
The Middlesex High School (MHS) girls track team won the Tidewater District title for the third time in four years as the Lady Chargers scored 181 points in the win at King William High School on May 21.
The King William Lady Cavaliers finished second as a team with 164 points; West Point, third, 46; Mathews, fourth, 44; King & Queen Central, fifth, 37 points; and Charles City County, sixth, 1 point.
“It was a great team effort with lots of personal best performances and we are very proud of the team,” said MHS Coach Joel Anderson. “Now we need to keep this momentum going into the regional meet at Charles City.”
