Middlesex JV volleyball squad off to strong start

The 2025-2026 Middlesex High School junior varsity Lady Charger volleyball team is off to a 3-0 start, having defeated visiting arch-rival Rappahannock of Warsaw on Sept. 4 in three sets, outlasting Northumberland on Sept. 2 for a road win, and topping visiting Lancaster in two sets to open the season on Aug. 26.

Rappahannock

The JV Lady Chargers avenged their only loss last season to Rappahannock on Sept. 4,  defeating the Lady Raiders in three sets. The Lady Chargers won the first set 25-15, lost the second 19-25, and won the third set in overtime 16-14.

Northumberland

The JV Lady Chargers outlasted host Northumberland on Sept. 2 winning in three sets. Middlesex won the first set 25-19; lost the second 22-25 and won game three 15-13.

Lancaster

Excellent serving from Julia Dise, Eva Gagnon and Claire Dise helped the JV Lady Chargers get a comfortable lead in both games against Lancaster in the season opener on Aug. 26, said Coach Baker. Consistent passing from Hailey Vaupel and Eva Gagnon in the back court allowed the JV Lady Chargers to have several well placed kills from hitters Allie Davenport and Julia Dise. Scarlet Elias did a great job setting and accurate assists.
