That being said, nearly 400 United States citizens gathered on Saturday, March 28, at the intersection of Route 33 and Business Route 17 on the courthouse green of the Middlesex County Historic Courthouse from 1 to 3 p.m. participating in a peaceful “No Kings” political demonstration. Democratic Party protests took place in major cities, suburbs and small towns across the country against President Donald Trump’s politics.
Joyce Major of Deltaville and member of the local Middlesex Democratic Committee, reminded the crowd that 8 million other citizens across the nation are peacefully demonstrating “right now” against the politics of President Donald Trump.
She said to the crowd, “We have been told that what we are doing makes no difference, but I have proof we are making a difference.” There was a moment of pause and then Major held up a political sign of newly-elected Democratic Virginia governor Abigail Spanberger…
