The Lancaster Players’ latest production, “Public Speaking 101,” opens this weekend at The Playhouse in White Stone. Cast members Phoebe Hollingsworth, Heather Jenkins, Rick Shurtz and Aaron Stevens portray community college classmates, determined to conquer their fear of public speaking.

As the class instructor, Heather Jenkins guides and cajoles them toward competing in the county’s first annual public speaking competition. Along the way, each character learns that vulnerability is not weakness, but a bridge to connection.

Ticket sales have been “steady” and Red Carpet Opening Night is sold out. Additional weekend evening performances are scheduled for Nov. 8, 14, 15, 21 and 22. Sunday matinees are at 3 p.m. on Nov. 9, 16 and 23.

Tickets are $30, and groups of 15 or more receive a 10% discount when tickets are purchased together.

The Lancaster Players Playhouse, located at 361 Chesapeake Drive in White Stone, opens one hour prior to curtain for a social hour and cash bar.
