
The Middlesex High School varsity basketball team (6-6, 5-2) dropped two games last week, losing to the Chincoteague Ponies, 65-56, and to the King William Cavaliers, 82-48.
Against the Ponies on Tuesday, Jan. 20 in the John S. Clements Memorial gym, Davonte Griffin paced the Chargers scoring 22 points with 20 coming in the first half of play.
Against King William, the Cavaliers dominated both on the offensive and defensive sides of the game. Griffin continues to play well as the MHS junior scored 27 points in the game.
