Middlesex supervisors and the school board have a busy budget planning agenda on the proposed 2026-2027 fiscal year county and school budgets in February, March and April of 2026.
Officials will conduct a budget work session on Thursday, Feb. 5, at 9 a.m. in the historic courthouse in Saluda where agencies, organizations, officers and county departments will present budget requests to the board.
MCSB school officials will present its proposed 2026-2027 fiscal budget requests to supervisors on Tuesday, Feb. 10. The school board is scheduled to hold a public hearing on its proposed fiscal budget on Monday, Feb. 23, and budget approval is scheduled on Monday, March 9, at the board’s regular monthly meeting.
