Bob Kunzinger of Wake teaches college writing at Old Dominion University and has been teaching writing skills to students for more than 40 years.
It was from his own experiences at the age of 19 and reflecting back to his days in 1978 as a freshman at St. Bonaventure University in New York that led Kunzinger to write his new book, “Curious Men Lost in the Congo.”
Kunzinger’s book is a true story of his friendship with then 27 years old Joe Kohn, of North Collins, N.Y. Kohn befriended Kunzinger and encouraged him to help him plan an adventurous first-ever solo raft trip down the Congo River.
