The Middlesex County Economic Development Authority (EDA) has signed a letter of intent with representatives of the Tractor Supply Company for construction of a retail store at Cooks Corner, reported EDA Chairman Gordon White this week.
Tractor Supply Company is a nationwide retailer of farm supplies and apparel. Its newest stores include greenhouses, feed and/or forage, and possibly a veterinarian clinic as well as sales areas for their standard retail items.
The retail store will be roughly 20,000 square feet in size with an additional area of outside display. It will cost approximately $2 million to build and provide jobs to between 10 and 20 employees.
When finished the store is expected to bring the county about $50,000 in real estate taxes plus additional amounts of sales tax revenue and other income…
