Middlesex County Cub Scout Pack 341 completed fire safety training on Thursday, Oct. 1, hosted by the Hartfield Volunteer Fire Department.
The Cubs were able to explore fire trucks and learn about fire equipment, smoke alarms and fire extinguishers. They practiced using a fire simulation kit to extinguish a fire, and received training on what to do when a fire or risk of a fire is present. 33 Cubs, along with parents, participated in this training.
Afterwards, the scouts enjoyed pizza, roasted hot dogs and “s’mores” over an open fire and enjoyed the company of the firefighters.
