The Middlesex County School Board has proposed a fiscal year 2026-2027 $25,857,876 Middlesex County Public Schools budget. The proposed budget, which is $1.58 million more than the current fiscal year’s budget, is from early this week and is expected to change some in coming days.
Although state funding is expected to be higher, the school will lose some state monies due to a decline in Middlesex student enrollment. The FY 25-26 budget was figured on 1,170 students, while the FY 26-27 proposed budget will be figured on 1,130 students.
