Supervisors approved a “one-time monetary bonus to full-time and part-time county officers and employees as well as constitutional officers and their staff in recognition of their hard work and dedication.”
The approved ordinance states “the board wishes to provide for the payment of one-time monetary bonuses, based on June 2025 salaries, in the amount of $700 to full-time county staff and 1.5% to full-time constitutional officers and their compensation board funded staff position, based on the amount of money funded by the compensation board, whichever is greater.”
It also states, “the board wishes to provide for a one-time probated bonus payment to part-time county staff and part-time constitutional officers’ staff based on the number of hours worked in a year as compared to the 2,800 hours worked by full-time employees.”
The funds for the 1.5% one-time bonus to constitutional officers employees was approved throughout the state by Governor Glenn Youngkin and the General Assembly to fund bonuses for some employees in the sheriff’s office, commonwealth’s attorney’s office, treasurer’s office, and commissioner of revenue’s office.
