
The Middlesex County Public Library system recently announced that its latest art exhibit at MCPL’s Deltaville branch, “The Element of Water,” features photographs by Hartfield artist Michael Kunzinger. The show can be found at the Deltaville branch’s meeting room, from now through the end of August.
The exhibit features over a dozen photographs, both framed and printed on canvas. The public is invited to a reception on Tuesday, Aug. 12, from 5-7 p.m. Light refreshments will be served, and the artist will be on hand to answer questions and sign purchases. A portion of sales is donated in support of the library.
Kunzinger’s work explores water, in particular the ways in which its patterns create art. “I look for images in reflections on the water’s surface,” he explains. “Although the resulting photo resembles modern abstract paintings, they are entirely real, created without oils or digital retouching.”
