Mask wearing now mandatory at school board meetings

by Larry Chowning –

Middlesex County Public Schools (MCPS) announced last week that “masks are required” for anyone attending county school board meetings starting at the Sept. 13 board meeting.

At the top of the Sept. 13 school board agenda in red lettering it states “Per public health order from the State Health Commissioner requiring universal masking in all school buildings; masks are required to attend the school board meeting.”

The meeting will be Monday, Sept. 13, at 6:30 p.m. in the St. Clare Walker Middle School auditorium at Locust Hill. Closed session begins at 6:30 p.m., directly followed by the regular meeting…
