Julia Dise paces MHS tennis team

Middlesex High School (MHS) girls tennis team (3-4) fell to Mathews 1-8 in May 6 away action.

Charger girl Julia Dise, playing number four singles, notched the lone win for MHS, defeating her Blue Devil girl opponent 6-4, 6-4. “Strong play with controlled shots got her the win,” said MHS Head Tennis Coach Matthew Short.

Other Middlesex singles results from the match include:

  • Number one — Vada Reinhardt lost 3-6, 6-6, 1-7 in the second set tiebreaker.
  • Number two — Annie Bray lost 3-6, 3-6.
  • Number three — Kinsey McKittrick lost 0-6, 2-6.
  • Number five — Alyssa Moore lost 5-7, 2-6.
  • Number six — Jasiah Fuller lost 4-6, 1-6.
