Spring. It is at last time to turn our attention to the garden. The Middlesex County Public Library (MCPL) system offers scores of books on gardening, many of them practical how-to guides. Others are guides for the more ambitious, more skilled gardeners. There also are volumes of gardeners’ memoirs and gardening history. Among the last is “Founding Gardeners: The Revolutionary Generation, Nature, and the Shaping of the American Nation,” by the prolific British writer Andrea Wulf.
