The 14th running of the annual Deltaville Kids Fun Run and Deltaville 5K are slated for Saturday, July 5.
Fun Run Start: 7:15 a.m.
5K Start: 7:30 a.m.
The Kids Fun Run is for children ages 12 and younger, and the 5K (3.1 mile foot race) is open for all ages. The 5K course is flat and fast and includes a turnaround on the state dock over the creek. There are men’s and women’s awards for every 5-year age bracket and overall place awards. Registration for both events includes a finisher’s medal and T-shirt. This year’s shirt features a timeless design celebrating the Blue Crab – a Chesapeake Bay treasure.
Online registration is open until July 4 at www.DVL5k.com. Registration is $35 for the 5K and $25 for the Kids Fun Run through June 30. After that, prices increase to $40 and $30. Walk-up registration is available at packet pick-up on Friday, July 4, from 4-6 p.m. at the DCA building and on Race Day from 6-7 a.m.
