Deltas down Richmond teams to sweep weekend series

Deltaville team defeats Misfits
Heaters – each by 10-2 score

The Deltaville Deltas used a pair of late-inning rallies to pull away for a pair of decisive wins over the weekend. In both games the Deltas scored eight runs in the final three innings as they defeated both the Richmond Misfits and Richmond El Heaters by the identical score of 10-2.

The wins moved the Deltas to 4-0 overall on the season, and 3-0 in league play. They sit tied atop the standings with Richmond-based Caribe Baseball, and a half-game ahead of Tappahannock and El Heaters.

The Deltas return home on Friday and Saturday for another weekend doubleheader at Deltaville Ballpark. Friday’s opponent will be the Virginia Aces, and Saturday night will feature the Fredericksburg-based East Coast Cardinals. Both games will begin at 7:30…
