Sunday, March 15, 10:30 a.m., join Urbanna United Methodist Church’s (UUMC) church family in worship in the sanctuary as they hear the Word of God proclaimed for all people by the Rev. Carl Perez, and hear God’s Word proclaimed through God’s gift of music.
This Sunday they will welcome vocal artist, Ginger Inabinet. Many of you know Ginger and are inspired by her magnificent voice and her faithful life. Ginger divides her time between New York City and Urbanna. In Urbanna, she loves being able to help her mother and father, and in the evening, gaze at the clear star-filled skies.
In New York, she performs regularly in the Metropolitan Opera Chorus, as well as other opera companies, is a frequent church soloist, and has a repertoire of beautiful music. She is also known for her work as a professional storyteller, regaling children and adults alike.
Bunny Dunlevy, fantastic Christian musician, will sing and play guitar with Inabinet. Dunlevy joyously leads singing in the Prelude contemporary music time during worship, sings in the church choir and serves in vital ministries in church life.
Urbanna UMC is located at the intersection of Marston Avenue and Cross Street.
Immediately after worship Sunday, all are invited to a free chili and baked potato lunch in the UUMC Fellowship Hall.

February 2026 marked the start of Kilmarnock United Methodist Church’s Laundry Day Ministry.
Church members go to Speed Wash, 110 Irvington Road, Kilmarnock, three days each month to greet, talk with customers, help bring their laundry into the facility and pay for all laundry costs during the nine hours each month that they are present, reported Whitney Lang.
Thanks to the generous contributions of church members and later due to the receipt of a grant, the ministry has expanded from once each month to three times a month, impacting more than 231 people during the first year, said Lang.
The ministry has grown to include water and snacks, individual packets of detergent and coloring books and crayons for children who accompany their parents. The owner of the laundromat has been a part of this mission from its inception and has made these “laundry missionaries” welcome.
To support this mission, call 804-435-1797.
