
Emily Johnston of Fountain Greene Farm in Wake coached two students to wins at the recent Silver Lining horse show at the Deep Run Hunt Club, Manakin-Sabot.
Ingrid Carey rode the farm’s mare, Gjamaika Song, to a first and second over fences and a second under saddle to be the Special Hunter Champion in a class of 26 entries.
Coach Johnston noted, “I was very pleased with this horse and rider since the mare is transitioning from the role of jumper to hunter.”
Marissa Johnston rode a Fountain Greene sales pony to her first show, winning Reserve Champion in the Pony Pleasure division.
