Reject hopelessness, stubbornly hold onto the Lord

From time to time we all try to imagine what tomorrow holds, but no matter how well we plan for tomorrow, none of us can be sure what’s going to happen — the future is a mystery because it is an uncertain place.

God wants us to know that we have a secure place with Him, in an uncertain future.

When Jesus taught about the Holy Spirit, He said that the Holy Spirit is like the wind that blows from one direction, then to another direction, and we do not know where it comes from or where it is going. And so, more times than we realize, the wind of the Spirit will “blow us” into surprising places — so, we always have a choice to make. Are we going to yield to the Spirit, or, are we going to push back against the wind?

On the night that Nicodemus met privately with Jesus, Jesus explained to Nicodemus that Spiritual rebirth, as being of the Spirit, was very often referred to as the breath of God. Just as the wind continues to blow…
