The Middlesex High School (MHS) Charger basketball team (1-2) dropped two games last week, losing to the Lancaster Red Devils, 69-35, on Dec. 10 and to the Northumberland Indians on Friday, Dec. 12, 73-31.

Throughout both games, the Red Devils and Indians used full-court presses on defense that stifled the Chargers offense. Northumberland’s defense resulted in MHS committing 12 turnovers.

The Chargers took on the King William Cavaliers on Tuesday, Dec. 16, and will travel to Mathews to take on the Blue Devils, today, Thursday, Dec. 18. After Christmas break, Middlesex’s first game back will play at home the King & Queen Central Royal Tigers on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026 and will travel to Charles City on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026.
