New playground open at Sports Complex

The Middlesex County Sports Complex Commission (MCSCC) has completed a $33,380 upgrade of its complex’s playground located beside St. Clare Walker Middle School in Locust Hill. A ribbon cutting was conducted on Monday, Jan. 12, to announce the opening.

The playground is located between ballfields on the complex and is actively used by young children in families who attend the older age activities at the complex.

“We have a lot of families with younger children who want something more to do at the complex than just watch the games,” said MCSCC board member Jackie Taylor. “The upgrading of the playground is an effort by the commission to provide activities for all ages of children who come to the complex.”

All of the funds to pay for playground improvements were provided through donated funds…
