Unitarians Movie Night set for Nov. 8

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Rappahannock (UUFR) Movie Night will feature “Defending Your Life” (PG) on Friday, November 8, at 7:15 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Daniel Miller (Albert Brooks) isn’t having a good week. For starters, he died after getting hit by a bus. Then he discovers that in the afterlife he must defend his actions on Earth in order to ascend to a higher plane of existence. While awaiting judgment, he falls in love with Julia (Meryl Streep), whose near perfect life on Earth seemly makes her a shoo-in for ascension. However, Daniel’s action in his lifetime might not be enough for him to move on.

The movie, drinks and popcorn are free. You are welcome to bring your own snacks, dinner or drinks to enjoy during the movie. The UUFR is located at 366 James Wharf Rd. in White Stone.
