Middlesex’s Turner ties for first in high jump

Middlesex High School (MHS) Charger Kevin Turner surprised a strong field of high jumpers Saturday, May 9 at the Jim Triemplar Memorial Track Invitational in Mechanicsville with a first place tie in the high jump. Turner jumped 6’ 4,” three inches off the 6’ 7” MHS school record and just missing a height of 6’ 6”.

“Kevin just missed the 6’ 6” height,” said MHS Boys Head Coach Joel Anderson. “He came through on the highest level. This was a big meet with a bunch of big schools in the competition. Out kids did an awesome job.”
