After more than a decade in Scouting, beginning as a Tiger Cub in first grade, Andrew Harrow of Troop 341 earned the rank of Eagle Scout on Dec. 29, 2025. It is the highest honor awarded by Scouting America.

Andrew is the son of Greg and Jennifer Harrow and the brother of Courtney Harrow. He advanced through every level of Cub Scouting, earning the Arrow of Light before crossing over into Boy Scouts at the end of his fifth-grade year. His early Scouting journey was guided by his Cub Scout den leader, his mother Jennifer, and continued in Scouts BSA under the mentorship of troop leader Rich Graulich, with guidance from Steve Kancianic and Jarrod Cox during his final year on the trail to Eagle. Throughout his Scouting career, Andrew earned numerous merit badges, served in leadership positions, and dedicated countless hours of service to his troop and community.

Eagle Scout service project

For his Eagle Scout service project, Andrew planned and led the construction of an outdoor classroom for Middlesex Elementary School, creating a lasting space where students and teachers can gather for learning in a natural setting. The project brought together family members, fellow Scouts, and community volunteers, and was made possible through the generous support of Lamberth Building Materials and Home Depot, which donated supplies and materials.

Andrew is a senior at Middlesex High School and also attends the Chesapeake Bay Governor’s School. He is active in football, wrestling, the National Honor Society, and the Spanish Honor Society. In addition to his academic and Scouting commitments, Andrew serves the community as a volunteer firefighter with the Lower Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department and is employed at The Table in Deltaville.

Upon graduation, Andrew will have earned his associate’s degree and plans to attend college to pursue a career in computer engineering. An Eagle Court of Honor will be conducted to celebrate Andrew’s Eagle Scout achievement.
