Chargers fall to Red Devils 30-14; set to
face Rappahannock in Warsaw Friday
The Middlesex High School (MHS) Charger football team (1-2, 0-0) lost, 30-14, to the Lancaster Red Devils on Friday as the Red Devils scored 24 points in the first half. The matchup was at Lancaster High School’s brand new stadium adjacent to Dream Fields in Irvington. It was the first-ever high school game played in the stadium.
Lancaster dominated the first half offensively, leaving too wide a margin on the scoreboard for MHS to catch up. Middlesex scored a touchdown in the third quarter and another in the fourth quarter. It also scored on a 2-point conversion.
