Youngsters are invited to join Middlesex Christian Skaters

Last year the Middlesex Christian Skaters Skateboarding Club was one of the many school-sponsored clubs at St. Clare Walker Middle School. Since there was such an interest in it last year, the Rev. Aaron Wells, with the help of his wife Bonnie Wells, his two children, Ben Fukushima, Love4Kids and LIFT Children of Middlesex, jointly decided to make it a countywide club that welcomes all grades. The Rev. Wells is the pastor of Pure Life Church. His wife is the school nurse at Middlesex Elementary School.

The club meets across from the elementary school 3-5 p.m. Wednesdays, and noon-2 p.m. Sundays. The address is 668 Philpot Road in Locust Hill.

“We stay outside and our driveway gives them plenty of room to skate and practice on the ramps,” said Rev. Wells. “We are talking with people and organizations interested in establishing an outdoor skate park in the future.”

Wells added, “If parents want to participate or observe, you are more than welcome to stay with your child or children.” For information about the club, the Facebook page is called Christian Skaters Middlesex.
