The deacons of Urbanna Baptist Church will prepare and host a free Fish Fry Supper 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16. This meal is open to the entire community. The Fish Fry Supper will be a yummy summer meal of fried fish, french-fried potatoes, cole slaw and a roll. A church rep said the deacons are frying up whiting for the event.
The meals are being offered for pick up only and must be pre-ordered by Monday, Sept. 14, at noon. You may contact the UBC office at 804-758-2720 to place your order. The church office is open 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
There will be signs at the church directing folks to the point of pick up for the meals at a side door of the church. The church is at 121 Watling St.
