Coming off a season-opening 28-12 loss to Northumberland, Chargers face Dukes
The Middlesex High School (MHS) Charger football team (0-1, 0-0) dropped its opening game of the season to the Northumberland Indians, 28-12, at the Bristow-Boxley Field in Saluda.
The game started late at 7:45 p.m. in an effort to meet the required allowable heat index to play ball. The heat index came down enough, but it was still hot and the humidity created a dew type moisture on the field.
