MHS softball squad splits home games

The Middlesex High School (MHS) softball team split its first two home games of the season last week. The Chargers defeated Colonial Beach on Tuesday 29-10 and lost to Lancaster 6-4 on Thursday, April, 16.

Against the Drifter girls, the Lady Charger offense racked up 11 hits in the contest and jumped out to a 12-2 lead after one inning and never looked back.

Against Lancaster, the Lady Charger offense, quiet most of the game, pushed across four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning…
