- Sunday, April 19, Pastor John C. Wright Jr. and First Lady Yinoris Wright will celebrate their eighth anniversary. The morning service will be at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Archie Comfort Jr., pastor of New Faith Fellowship, Richmond. Lunch will be served following the morning service. The 3 p.m. service will include the Rev. Darnell Comfort, pastor of Branch Fork Baptist Church, Spotsylvania. Pastor Comfort will be accompanied by his choir, ushers and congregation.

All Saints Anglican Church welcomes everyone to a special morning prayer service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22. The church address is 48 New St. in Saluda, across from the Middlesex County Courthouse.
Officiated by Bishop Jeff Johnson, the morning prayer service will include prayers for the unborn in celebration with the national and Richmond March For Life and make a strong statement for all unborn lives. Please consider joining others as a powerful witness for the dignity of human life. Everyone must shine the light of Christ’s love for all in the dark world.
The Wednesday service will also include the customary weekly prayers for the nation, the state and the county. There will be no Holy Communion service on this Wednesday.

At 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 19, at Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Rappahannock (UUFR), a church in White Stone, Dr. Mahmoud (Mike) Jawhar will describe “The Patients who became my teachers: Life’s lessons early in my career.” This will be Dr. Jawhar’s second talk at UUFR, the first being “Two Worlds, One Humanity-Being a Muslim in America.” Dr. Jawhar emphasizes the similar-ities in the values of all religions using the lens of universal human needs, understanding, and compassion.
Dr. Jawhar is a surgeon with Bon Secours Kilmarnock Surgical Associates. A Muslim Palestinian-American, he was born and spent his early years in Richmond. As a teenager, he lived in a small town near Jerusalem in the Occupied West Bank and attended the Quaker Friends Boys School in Ramallah.
After graduating from a private Christian high school in occupied East Jerusalem, Dr. Jawhar returned to Virginia and obtained a bachelor’s degree from Old Dominion University and his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. His wife, Sonia, was born and raised in Jerusalem and they continue to maintain strong ties in Palestine. Their two sons were born in Roanoke and lived 10 years in the Occupied West Bank before moving back to Virginia.
All are welcome at the service and are encouraged to remain for coffee and conversation afterwards.

Zion Branch Baptist Church of Saluda will have a chicken and pig feet dinner on Saturday, April 18, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The dinner location is the American Legion Post 241 meeting hall located at 76 Urbanna Road in Cooks Corner.

This Sunday, April 19, all are invited to attend the 9 a.m. worship service at Bethpage Camp-Resort’s amphitheater. Casual dress is acceptable. In case of inclement weather, the service will be conducted in Bethpage’s rally center.
Sunday’s speaker is John Ryland, deacon and choir member of Urbanna Baptist Church (UBC). He is also a representative from UBC to the Mid-Tidewater Baptist Association.
The 2026 year marks the 45th summer of worship co-hosted by UBC and Bethpage.
