Charger girls basketball team finishes 10-6;
surge into region action this week
Charger girls The Middlesex High School (MHS) varsity Lady Charger basketball team finished the regular season with a 49-45 win at Mathews on Feb. 19.
The Lady Chargers trailed 22-21 at halftime, then outscored Mathews 28-23 in the second half.
Regional tournament
MHS (10-6, 6-4) was scheduled to host Northumberland in the John S. Clements Memorial Gymnasium on Tuesday in the opening round of the Class 1 Region A Tournament. MHS is the number three seed.
The winner will face the winner of the Colonial Beach-Lancaster game in the semifinals on, Thursday, Feb. 26, at 6 p.m…
