MHS corrals Chincoteague Pony girls, 48-17, in Charger girls hoops opener

The Middlesex High School (MHS) varsity girls basketball team opened its season with a 48-17 win at Chincoteague on Friday, Dec. 2.

Coach Michael Lewis Sr. shifted to player to player defense late in the second quarter.

“That really broke the game open,” he said. “I was pleased with the way we played.”

The JV and varsity Lady Chargers host King William on Friday, Dec. 9 at 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the John Clements Memorial Gym in Saluda.
