Middlesex volleyball squad defeats King & Queen 3-1 in dist. tourney

The Middlesex High School Lady Chargers varsity volleyball team defeated visiting King and Queen Central in four sets on Tuesday in the opening round of the Tidewater District Tournament. Middlesex won the first two games, 25-16 and 25-18. In game three, K&Q took an early lead before Middlesex tied it at 11-11. K&Q battled to an 18-18 tie then edged ahead for a 25-22 win. Middlesex won the fourth game 25-23.

The Lady Chargers (6-2, 9-9) finished the regular season in second place behind King William.

Middlesex will play King William match Thursday, Oct. 28 at 6 p.m.; and will travel to Chincoteague on Monday, Nov. 1 at 6 p.m. for the first round of the Region 1-A Tournament.
