The Middlesex High School (MHS) varsity baseball team defeated the King and Queen Central Royal Tigers twice last week, 9-0, on Tuesday, April 19, and, 19-0, on Thursday, April 21.
On Tuesday, the Chargers traveled to King and Queen (K & Q) Courthouse to take on the Royal Tigers. Charger pitcher Patrick Larson continues to dominate foes as he pitched a shutout, and a complete game allowing three hits, two walks and he struck out eight batters.
On Thursday the Royal Tigers came to MHS, where Hunley showed off his talent on the mound as he was the winning pitcher shutting out K&Q and giving up only one hit and two walks. The team pounded the ball with 16 hits in the game.
“We are showing improvement on both offense and defense and showing strong play in district competition,” said Head Coach John Matthew Robins.
