Middlesex High School and Christchurch School missed last week’s planned matchup, which was canceled three days before the game. It follows game cancellations the previous week. Both the Chargers and Seahorses hope the third time will be a charm and that they can start their delayed seasons this Friday — week three of high school football games. Although school officials say they are unable to speak about the reason for the cancellations, high school and college sports games across the nation are being canceled due to COVID-19.
