Keith E. Townsend, 60, of Urbanna passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022.
He retired in 2017 with 31 years of service from the the Virginia Department of Transportation. Keith was a member of Urbanna United Methodist Church and a 40-plus year member of the Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department in Urbanna. He was the son of the late Zed and Rosie Townsend and was also pre-deceased by a brother, Bobby Townsend.
Keith is survived by his wife, Cheri L. Townsend; daughter, Sarah Hand (Larry); grandsons, Luca and little Larry; granddaughter, Mary; and a sister-in-law, Susan Townsend Jones.
There will be a celebration of Keith’s life at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 30 at the Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department, Urbanna. A reception will be followed at the firehouse.
