Karen Lux, love of my life and my very, very, very special best friend, died on the summer solstice – Sunday, June 21, 2026 – at the young age of 60.
She enjoyed many life moments brimming with happiness, comfort, loved ones, favorite things and beautiful places — hygge [hoo ga] in Danish – none more than her time spent laughing and playing with her children, grandchildren and extended family. Very proud of her Danish heritage.
She loved both her river and country homes, holidays on OBX and Blue Ridge and was always excited to try something different. She would spend hours running on a treadmill, giggling at sitcoms.
