Nine-year-old Benson Burch and his grandmother Minnie Burch were beach combing along the Rappahannock River shore near Water View and Weeks Creek recently and found a couple of “treasures.”

“Mr. Hawkeye here found this little package that had floated up and when I got there he had unwrapped it. There were two photos in it,” she said. “They are a bit water damaged, but I thought maybe they are special to the person and would want the pictures back.”

The backs of the two photos have water damaged writing. One appears to say, “Ceslie Castareck, April 1993” and the other “7-22-1998 Tanya Beatris Diuts,” although the letters are running together.

If anyone knows anything about the photos or wants them back contact Larry Chowning at 804-815-0102. The owners and finders of the photos can be united.
