unnar Marston, 17, was the fastest finisher in the Dec. 6 Jingle Bell 5K at Piankatank River Golf Club in Hartfield. The Middlesex High School cross country and track standout completed the 5K (3.1 mile) race in 18 minutes, 18 seconds. Gavin Dustin, 18, was second, with an 18:27 time; and Tanner Janisko, 15, was third, with a 19:21 time.
Svitlana Honcharov, 27, had the fastest female time — 22:16. The second fastest female was Paige Morris, 13, with a 25:03 time; and Marsha Jedlinski, 40, had the third fastest female time, 25:39.
“This is a real community event with support from sponsors, dozens of volunteers, the Piankatank River Golf Club and Middlesex County Public Schools,” Middlesex Family YMCA Advisory Board Chairman Kathy Swinehart said of the annual race, describing the turnout as “great.”
