
The Middlesex County Rotary Club and Middlesex Scouts BSA (formerly called Boy Scouts) announced recently that the Flags for Heroes display in Hartfield will remain standing through the Independence Day holiday.
Many residents have noticed that the 150 American flags continue to fly proudly at the intersection of Twiggs Ferry Road and General Puller Highway across from the Hartfield Volunteer Fire Department. In recognition of our nation’s upcoming 250th anniversary celebration, organizers have decided to extend the display through July 4.
Due to the rainy weather over Memorial Day weekend, many sponsorship opportunities are still available. Community members are encouraged to stop by the display and sponsor a hero in honor or memory of someone special…
