Friends of Dragon Run welcomes guests to participate in guided paddle trips on the most beautiful river/swamp in Virginia. The organization is dedicated to preserving the Dragon Run, which flows through Virginia’s Middle Peninsula, including Middlesex County.
They host paddles to educate the public and to raise funds to protect land along the Dragon Run. In the fall, the Dragon Run swamp is particularly beautiful with the change in leaf color and the abundance of berries.
Paddle trips are available Oct. 10 through Nov. 2.
Registration will be available at Dragonrun.org, beginning Saturday, Sept. 13, at 9 a.m. Additional information about these paddles is currently available on the FODR website.
These events are for persons 18 and older. A $60 donation is requested.
