‘Local History’ is topic of current RAL exhibit

Exhibit judge Carroll Ashburn with Harold Burnley’s first place photo of Historic Christ Church.

“Digging Up Local History” is the current exhibit at the RAL Art Center, 19 N. Main Street, Kilmarnock.

It is an exhibit that challenged the RAL artists and photographers to dig up history in the Northern Neck by producing images of boats, houses, churches, cars, etc., from the past.  This exciting “must see” exhibit will be on display until March 28.

Carroll Ashburn, president of the Kilmarnock Museum, judged this impressive exhibit. Ashburn is a native of the Northern Neck and has been connected to local history since his 1997 association with the museum. Local photos with Carroll’s descriptions…
